CMS Releases 2021 Medicare Part A & Part B Rates Impacting SNFs
Important information for Skilled Nursing Facility Admissions, Billers and Finance Departments! New Medicare Part A and Part B Deductibles and Premiums have been released for the 2021 calendar year. Effective January 1, 2021; the following rates will apply:

$148.50* ($3.90 increase from 2020 rate) *Medicare Part B Monthly Premium is established within a fee schedule. The 2021 rate ($148.50) is the lowest tier level. |
| Medicare Part B Annual Deductible | $203.00 ($5.00 increase from 2020 rate) |
Annually, Medicare premiums, deductibles and coinsurances are updated according to the Social Security act. These updated rates are important information for the SNF Interdisciplinary team, as it impacts money collected from resident co-pays.
